"The hotel is situated in a great spot, and despite being on the busy Darby Street, the rooms are quiet. Thew rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable, and the kitchen and bathroom supplies make it possible to eat in if desirable. A negative was that I did not know that I would need to pay an extra amount for secure parking beneath the hotel."

"Booked last minute and wasn’t expecting much for the price on a Saturday night but previous reviews seemed ok. The first room they gave us was average. We thought for one night we’d be ok. But after coming back from dinner we noticed bugs/insects over the walls and worse still over the bed and pillows. I called the emergency number and without hesitation they moved us to another room which had been refurbished. It was comfortable but didn’t have the fireplace which we’d specifically chosen so it was quite cold, especially in the bathroom. This hotel is advertised as Boutique-style, high-quality accommodation - there’s nothing boutique or high quality about it! Even for what we paid a night it wasn’t worth it. My recommendation would be to pay a bit more and stay somewhere else."

"This was a densely packed residential style listing where it appeared there were a number of long-stay clientele. Room smelled strongly of bleach for first day, then damp/mould the following. Bath/spa jets released undesired hairs from previous guests, beds also had some long dark hairs. Room walls are tiled, making for a strange setting. Overall, it was spacious enough, but there were a lot of undesirable sides to this property and the listing should not suggest "executive" anything."

"I love staying here when in Newcastle. The location on the waterfront but close to city restaurants is perfect. The rooms ( suites) are the best layout I have encountered, with a kitchen bench and sink, comfortable sofa and desk opening up to a well appointed bedroom with plenty of room for bags and a large en-suite with lots of bench space to hold all your bits and pieces so they don’t get lost or left behind."
