"The hotel was modern and well placed for city centre (10 minute walk). Staff were attentive and efficient. Room was spacious and spotless, particularly the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and breakfast room had a lovely view to Clifford's Tower. Could not fault anything (apart from the recorded voice in the lift!)"

"Location excellent all within walking distance, from train station,never used the gym, stayed 2 nights went to Grand Theatre beautiful theatre. Gorgeous city, York walls disappointing as you cant walk the whole way around there not complete and at one point we were looking how to rejoin them. Also walls have a shear drop to the side no barrier wirh areas of wall walk very narrow Another area we were walking on pavement along 4 lanes of traffic. Chester walls complete able to walk whole way around with walls either side of the path.Minster really worth a visit. This hotel has an excellent Japanese restaurant Sora this was amazing. Also had a brilliant saxophonist on the saturday night highly recommend will "
