Lovely 60th birthday stay.
The food was excellent, the bar, the lounge area and the dining facilities are so snug and such nice places to be.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Would thoroughly recommend this hotel and hope to return in the near future.
A gorgeous get away, with lots of lovely touches. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, comfy and clean. Breakfast was a real treat. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Stayed in a family suite with lounge and kitchen. Everything you needed for your stay was there. Lovely clean accommodation and even a real fire. Bed super comfy.
Evening meal superb with good portions and attentive staff who were very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list.
Fabulous cosy lounges with log fires to choose from and relax. Great bar.
Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of dishes.
This country hotel is only a few minutes drive from Helmsley for shopping.
Had a really lovely stay and would return in a heart beat. Thank you.

What a lovely atmosphere.
Just so relaxing in the sun and garden.
Food just brilliant
Thank you
Lovely decor and made to feel cozy with lots of candles. Room was spacious with nice features such as good coffee, homemade biscuits. Only issue was a lot of plumbing noises coming from adjoining rooms which was very loud at 96:39 in the morning.
Had a really lovely night in a beautiful room. Used the pool, which was small but absolutely charming- a real treat as I was the only one in there. Hotel is beautiful, but very comfortable with lovely open fires. Dinner very expensive we thought for a country hotel. Staff all excellent.
Food was of an excellent standard delivered by very efficient and friendly staff.
Guest noise when moving outside of our bedroom were annoying and shower was inadequate.
We only stayed one night but would definitely come again! The lady in reception was absolutely lovely - very welcoming - in fact - all the staff were great and we felt very relaxed and ‘at home’!
The hotel was pretty and our room was really large with a huge bed and lovely views over the countryside. We really appreciated the welcome gifts and the well- stocked mini bar but I was particularly pleased with the jug of fresh milk - no long-life plastic tubs! The ensuite sparkled and had a good range of quality ‘smellies’!
We didn’t have dinner because we were elsewhere but breakfast was a delight! I had a ‘fine-dining’ - look - plate of artistically arranged fruit and berries followed by a toasted bagel and avocado. There was a good choice of meals and they were happy to adapt them. The toast was chunky and delicious too.
Loved it all!
Poor food quality for the price. Fish was bland, pork was overcooked. The Scallop dish for £21 was measly to say the least. Positive points were the presentation but unfortunately the food didn’t match the expectation. The staff were wonderful however the rooms are not worth the price. Been around the world dining and hotels and can honestly say the Pheasant is over priced, over rated and needs to recess the prices.

Noise from interconnecting rooms should be sorted
Unfortunately noise from interconnecting rooms was so loud, reported to reception and whilst their service was lovely they simply explained they were aware and there's nothing that can be done... Please don't charge £250 per night for this
