The hotel was fine for a night, rooms are cosy and bathroom was big but slightly cold because of the big windows. Breakfast was terrible, under staffed was the issue. Took ages to get service and brought the wrong breakfast items eventually. Staff weren’t very friendly probably due to running around in disorganised chaos.

Very poor experience
Checked in and was told to move my car to £13 a day off site parking, the spot I was parked in was then used by someone for the next 2 days. The room we’d booked was apparently a duplex room but that wasn’t an option. Breakfast was probably the worst service I’d ever experienced, sat for 30 minutes to even have the order taken and when it did it was all wrong and cold. I understand times are difficult at the moment but no need for standards to drop so badly. We did complain and were offered 2 free drinks !?!?

Overall we had a nice stay at the doubletree. The hotel is lovely and in a perfect location for exploring the city centre. The buffet breakfast was delicious and served by polite and attentive staff. However, we were disappointed by the lack of warmth in the room. Our stay was in December and when we arrived in our room it was really cold. We would have thought it would have been warm ready for our arrival. The rooms radiators didn't do much to heat the room and the electric heater was very noisy whilst trying to sleep. This would have probably been OK with a thicker duvet on the bed but the duvet we were given was very thin and more suited to summer months.
