When I extended my stay, the second staff member offered me a discount based on the room I was in, which was an unexpected happy surprise."

"This really is a hidden gem in the city. The staff were very friendly and even kept our bags when we checked out. The location was very quiet for being in the city. It isn’t fancy but it does the trick for a quick weekend right near soho and not far from the subway. It is an older property but that kinda adds to the charm and makes it feel like you are living in the city vs a traditional hotel. It was nice to have two rooms for our group so we had more space than just a single room to share. I would stay here again since we really like this soho/nolita area."

All too often when we travel the beds ate never comfortable. This one was very comfortable! My husband mentioned that this is going to be our go to hotel when we want to stay in the city. "Very cool old building with several small lobbies to sit. Room was a good size for NY, with shelves and hanging for clothing. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Good subway access. Be aware there is no elevator so lots of stairs unless on the ground floor. Not for those with mobility issues."

"Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the keyless entry but the email went to my spam folder so that threw me off. The room was superficially clean and the linens were clean. The tub was very slippery and there was mold. Also the water was really hot! Once I found out I could get my own clean towels downstairs that was awesome. Overall a safe basic property with some cool art and convenient location for me but could use deep cleaning of the shower"

"The room was nice, much smaller than expected. We fit 4 people in the double bed room, very tight squeeze but doable for our stay. We stayed Wed, Thu, Fri night. Wed & Thu nights were both quiet and nice but Friday night we did not sleep as the sounds from the street were so very loud you couldn’t sleep at all. (we were on the 7th floor) Between the 4 of us we got maybe 3 hours of sleep combined Friday nights, so keep in mind if planning to stay here over a weekend, although i know it is likely similar all over NYC. You could also hear the elevator all night from our room and could hear other guests from the hallway and other rooms, none of the walls seem very soundproof at all. Staff were extremely nice and helpful during our stay."
