This hotel is perfect if you want a small room in a convenient location (10 mins to Times Square/Empire State etc on foot, 2 mins from Subway) to sleep in and go out all day (which is usual for city stays). However, when I say small, coming from the U.K. where we are used to not so large rooms, this is literally 4 walls and a bathroom. No where to lay a suitcase down flat, unless lifting it on the bed or the desk, which isn’t ideal if your cases were heavy or anyone with mobility issues. The cleanliness of the room, however was spot on and the cleaning staff did an amazing job every day. Bed was comfy and the shower was good. However, I must say I am extremely disappointed in the fact that this hotel was advertised as having a rooftop bar, during our stay (11th April-19th April), the rooftop offered no sign of bar service, furniture was blown around, glasses still with drink in laying littered on the small tables from god knows when. Yes, you could go and look at the views from the rooftop but it offered no pizazz or want to be up there. The reception staff (bar one person we interacted with at checkout) were rude, cold and unwelcoming. The lady who checked myself and my partner in couldn’t even look us in the eye to say hello or to tell us to have a nice stay- a trait I would deem as common courtesy, especially when customer facing. I cannot fault the Bellhops (especially Carlos) or Concierges, though we only interacted very little with them, they were always happy to help.
