If it's your first time travelling during the COVID-19 outbreak, you'll no doubt notice a few more restrictions and rules in place. Follow these tips and make your getaway to Mawokota go off without a hitch:

• Understand the restrictions and rules in both your destination and origin. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so be sure to check government advisories before booking.
• When you pass through airport screening, do not remove your face mask. You will be required to briefly lower it to verify your identity. Anyone refusing to wear a mask may be fined and denied entry.
• Rather than handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, place it directly on the scanner yourself. Then, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA now permits passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on bags. This will have to be removed from your bag at the X-ray machine for screening.
• Place any personal items (keys, wallet and phone) in your carry-on rather than a bin to minimize handling during the screening process.
• Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Keeping food separate from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA agent will need to open your bag for inspection.
