Was given a room on the 10th floor at first and the moment we removed our mask, could smell a strong perfume engulf the room. Unfortunately the perfume was not able to cover the smell of cigarette smoke. It was unpleasant. Tried to call the concierge to request for a change of room. Somehow the telephone worked pretty different from other local hotels we’ve had staycations at. We weren’t able to directly dial, somehow the call routes to their head office/in room dining services. They helped to relay the message and while we waited for a call back (to no avail), we decide to head down to the concierge to request instead. Got another room facing the pool without smell, all’s good from there. Regardless there’s a couple of reasons we won’t be returning:
- Check out is at 11am (earlier than others) we managed to request for extension
- The services seems very reactive than on the proactive side which I believe customer service should be.
