"The Portofino was great. It is an older inn with modern immunities. The staff and especially the manager are very proud of the inn and that transitioned well to the service we got! The parking was FREE which is like a unicorn in this area. Lots of filming history at Franks restaurant which is on the same lot. The provided breakfast included some pastry’s, bagels, juice, cereal, yogurt, fruit. If you’re a light breakfast person this is all you will need. I highly recommend staying here. The area is safe and close to lots of activities."

"Loved our stay. Front desk staff reassured us arriving in the middle of the night was fine. We were greeted promptly and kindly guided to the perfect room for our needs. Glendale Vagabond is a small quaint hotel with the perfect amount of parking. Our room was clean with comfortable beds, plenty of fresh linens, pillows and no perfumey air fresheners. The mini fridge, microwave and safe were nice to have. Although we didn’t get to use the swimming pool due to the cooler weather, it looked crystal clear and inviting. We felt safe and enjoyed the Americana Mall with its restaurants and shops right across the street. It was such a nice and pleasant area. We will be back."

"Check in was okay. The elevator was broken when I arrived yet fixed the next afternoon. The room was nice. The television barely worked due to poor signal so couldn’t enjoy shows that were offered. There was only one vent in the room so circulation of air was non-existent considering the vent is always from the actual room and close to the door. The pillows were terribly uncomfortable along with the bed. The room was extremely noisy. I requested a top floor room in advance and they put me on the second floor. The shower had no pressure and there was a lot of rust on the shower-heads. The front desk staff with the exception of one young lady was not pleasant and seems “irritated” when you tried to talk to them. The restaurant on the first floor was not welcoming and extremely small. The kitchen staff were actually nice and they made a great breakfast burrito. My experience was so bad and uncomfortable, I left a night early — and the staff did not even off to take a night off my bill. I would not recommend. "

"Be wary when booking the 2 bedroom suite. I booked the 2 bedroom, 3 months in advance and was never told the 2 bedrooms were overbooked. I found out on my arrival date. My reservation was split into 2 studio rooms. Also there are no adjoining rooms, only "adjacent" rooms. I opted to wait for my other room to be adjacent since the whole reason why I booked this hotel was for my family to be together. I was told it would be about 1 1/2 hours for the room to be ready. I ended up waiting till after 8pm, over 2 hours later. The complimentary breakfast helped salvage the weekend. Breakfast was fresh, lots of options and tasty. The hotel is within walking distance to a few restaurants, bars and coffee shops."
