"You stay here for the location: it’s ideal for enjoying the beautiful Emerald Lake and the campus is very charming. The main lodge is well maintained with space for guests to lounge. All of the rooms are in cabins (typically 4 rooms/ cabin) and there was minor smoke odor in the room from the wood-burning fireplace. Otherwise, the rooms are very basic- think mid-level Hampton Inn. Definitely make a reservation for dinner at the Burgess Dining Room. Excellent food and the best/only option after 7pm. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and will recommend it to friends/ relatives. "

"The hotel was very clean and organized. The staff were friendly. The restaurant was overpriced for the quality of the food. The food was good but it was standard and the price was reflective of quality that is above average. The hotel is very close to the train so it is easy to travel into the city. It was safe and the marina is very nice. Overall, my stay was enjoyable. "
