"We stayed at The Victoria Hotel for three nights during our trip to Melbourne, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The check-in process was poor. There was no reception staff available, so we had to complete the check-in ourselves using a machine in the lobby. We requested two key cards, but the machine only issued one. No one welcomed us or provided any information about the hotel facilities such as breakfast hours, the pool, or other amenities. Considering the price we paid, the room did not meet expectations. The overall service also felt quite casual. The staff were not particularly friendly or professional, and the atmosphere felt more like a roadside motel than a hotel located in the heart of Melbourne. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location, which is very convenient. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not choose this hotel again on my next visit to Melbourne."

"Internet is good.Room was serviced but no fresh hand towel supplied and bed not made up.Also no shampoo only body wash and conditioner.The room has no toaster or bowls and spoons so breakfast is a challenge.The room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom clean , the room was on the road side of the building and the road noise was constant.Overall it was a good stay despite the shortfalls."

"Very dirty, bathroom walls had marks not cleaned, room was terribly dusty, TV was not working. Unpleasant smell in the room, floors look like they have never seen a vacuum since it was built. Quilt and the pillows were dirty, the milk in the fridge was off. They ask for a photo of the credit card for late check ins which is a worry. A/C was noisy, the wardrobe doors were about to collapse. Never again!!"

"It’s our second time here and we are still impressed. Started with the check in, very smooth and 2 friendly and helpful guys ( Cameron and sorry i didn’t get the name of the second person) at the reception. Celebrating a birthday and we were surprised with a birthday card and a cake. We had a 2 bedrooms suites and it’s very comfortable and spacious. Relaxing at the pool and jacuzzi and not to forget very well situated. Everyone was very happy and we will be back for sure. "
