We were given wrong information about opening time of the airport. As we were carrying medical equipment and insulin pump which meant we could not go through the scanner we caused a huge line up at security. I asked how we could have prevented this. They told me we needed to get there much earlier. Your front office lady did not know that the airport opened at 4:30am. She told us 5:30am. We could have saved a lot of anxiety for us and frustration for airport staff if we got there earlier.

Port Stephens is one our favourite places, we've stayed at many places in the area over many years, from our recent stay, the Anchorage is by far the best. We stayed in room 102, it was lovely, modern, a beautiful bathroom and comfortable bed, but we discovered a slight problem. Very convenient, basically across the road from train station/light rail. Room simply but neatly designed and calming colour scheme. Very comfortable quality bed and pillow options. Stay deal had breakfast was great value and breakfast fresh tasty with all the essentials. TV probably a little smaller than average these days in other modern hotels but no biggie in scheme of things. Everything about this place was great. Smooth check-in and check-out process. Spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. Walking distance to shopping centre (across the road), with dining options and the likes of Coles, bowling, Chinese & Thai cuisine, KFC. Few minutes drive to activities such as sand boarding, camel rides, go karting, aircraft museum and more. The main feature is by far the wrap around pool although the water temp is cool during winter. The spa and sauna made up for it though....

Dining was overpriced and not worth it. Some pub grub is better. The accommodation view was superb.

There was a little mould in the bathroom but I wouldn’t let that stop me from returning could not fault anything else my room and pol area were amazing.

This motel is a hidden gem. It's beautifully maintained with really lovely managers. My room was very clean and very comfortable. I had all I needed and more. I travel a lot for work and can absolutely recommend this motel as a great place to stay.

We are a family of 5 . Also my parents came aswell so 7 all up . So got 2 rooms . 1st of all the customer service was great velet parking guys were amazing 👏 thank you so much for having us . Rooms were clean and that sea view was beautiful 😍 just 1 little thing . I wished there was kids meal like nuggets . My 2 toddlers dont like fish . So make sure if you have little ones to buy them some food beforehand if they dont want fish . Apart from that thank you Rydges newcastle 😁

We had a pleasant stay in great comfort. The apartment is close to several excellent restaurants and to the sea.

Walkable to many entertainment venues, cafes and dining establishments are plenty. A good neutral hotel to base yourself with clean rooms. Will not hesitate booking here again.
