You are treated to private quarters in their own home so you won't feel like you are staying in accomodation meant for travellers. Especially love the shower and their bed. They put your comfort foremost and it's these small details that makes all the difference. If you are one of those who enjoy being away from traffic noise and slowing down life's pace for awhile while on the road, this place is for you.

Not many motels can offer a lock up facility for the car and trailer when we towed a vintage car for a rally. Was worried it could be noisy as on the main road but very quiet. Even the AC and fridge were quiet. Lovely bed and sheets. Fantastic fluffy towels. The place has been recently refurbished. We shall stay again. Thx Ray.

Very clean room, comfortable bed, mini bar is not exorbitantly priced and has sufficient for two people. Restaurant for dinner & breakfast again is very reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly & welcoming. Our overall stay was excellent & would definitely stay again.

All rooms are absolute waterfront. We had an apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. The local super market is very close so we self catered breakfast and dinner for our entire stay.

This motel is perfectly situated in Metung. It’s close to the waterfront, walking paths, the pub, store and other shops. The rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It was handy to have a kitchenette which contained everything I needed. Would recommend Metung Waters - it’s also reasonably priced.

The cabins are spacious, well equipped and very clean and inviting. The grounds are also lovely and we had beautiful weather so made great use of the pool. We have stayed at other accommodation in the area and found this to be excellent value for money.

Spacious, clean, comfortable, well designed, especially the bathroom: 3 people can use the toilet, the washbasin and the shower at the same time in complete privacy, very convenient for family. Well done and Thank you to Paynesville HP!

We really could not fault either Paynesville or Captains Cover Resort both exceeded our expectations. The apartment is modern, well appointed and spotlessly clean. It is a short walk into Paynesville proper and the ferry to Raymond Island and our walk among the koalas. Bairnsdale Golf Course was a short distance from the resort and a pleasure to play.

We wanted an escape from Melbourne for New Years & 5 Knots in Metung was exactly what we were looking for! Quiet & in a brilliant location close to the cafes & shops Metung has to offer, we had a view over the lake. We had a small hitch with the bathroom but the off-site reception staff were quick to assist - even on New Years Eve with a follow-up on New Years Day, cannot fault their attentiveness. We will definitely be back to 5 Knots & Metung!

After booking it last minute I had a friend cancel coming and was quite disappointed, but upon arrival and seeing how beautiful it was I knew we were meant to be there. It is such a lovely place and the couple who run it are amazing. They were ready for us on arrival with everything being quick and easy. The location is unreal and they are generous with their supplies (especially the cookies which my kids loved). Everything was comfortable and well thought out and there was an abundance of...
