"Lovely resort feel. Definitely a little oasis so close to the Esplanade. Staff excellent. Feedback - Staff slow to clean up food and beverage foodstuff waste. It’s left on tables far too long preventing people wanting to take a seat or sun lounge because of the leftover waste. Also birds come and feed off the leftovers. "

"There is nothing fancy about The Abbott - it provides accommodation. But it does that very well. The experience seems formulated on the expectation that guests will source all their meals externally, which is reasonable given the close proximity to a multitude of eating places. Also easy walk to the piers. Inside, the room was quiet and comfortable. Great shower, good array of complimentary toiletries. We enjoyed a Superior room with street frontage (room 201); would recommend trying to obtain this or similar if considering The Abbott."
