"This was our third stay at the Mitre House Hotel. Such a great location in Sussex Gardens. It's within walking distance from Paddington Station as well as two tube stops: Paddington and Lancaster Gate (which means it is walkable to Kensington Gardens and the Marble Arch. Room rates are reasonable and include a complimentary breakfast. Since we arrive early in the morning, we stop to drop our luggage, spend the day sightseeing, returning late afternoon to check in. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Our room is a bit snug in spots but comfortable and clean. There was closet space to hang clothes and stow luggage. There are several terrific restaurants within a couple blocks of the hotel. And it is safe to walk about the neighborhood to and from restaurants or the tube or train station at all hours."

"The rooms were clean. The bedding and towels were pristine. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful every time we stayed. The rooms are small which is indicative of a Victorian era building. We stayed three different times and had three different rooms. All were comfortable. The bathrooms varied in size from tiny to small. But there was plenty of hot water and the showers were reasonably good. Location to Paddington Station can’t be beat."
