"Very nice front staff and good breakfast. In huge need of a remodel. Broken tiles. Worn out pretty much everything. Rotting spot in floor. The room was HUGE though and the sink was super nice. With a remodel/refresh this could be an amazing hotel."

"Great place, rooms were nice and clean kitchen had everything we needed to prepare breakfast. Staff was kind, helpful. Loved that all we had to do was go downstairs and we had choices of restaurants to eat at, little shops at a pool to swim with family we loved it all had a relaxing few days will be back next year. "This place is an excellent stay for the value. I don't think I've stayed in a hotel with this many amenities for so little money in a long time. The grounds are really pretty. Having said that, there are a few improvements to make it top-notch. The whole place smells like Pine-Sol or Fabulosa which I cannot stand. I wish hotels/restaurants/bars would clean with neutral smelling products. There are hardly any electrical plugs so you have to plug the coffee maker in in the bathroom. But the bed was comfy and the shower screaming hot and that goes a long way with me."

"Repeat customer. 3rd time as Ventura. I go here primarily for the price. Interior of my rooms are fairly newly renovated. Stayed summer and winter. Will stay again if needed due to price. Price and amenities better than M6 on the booking site I was using. I may use this other booking site more often...helps to research. 10th stay here over 20 years."

"Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. The room was beautiful, the property was well maintained, and most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our only disappointment was the check-in experience when we arrived a little early. We understood that check-in was not available until 3:00 p.m., but some of our questions about the property and room requests were met with very brief responses. We were hoping for a bit more hospitality and information about the amenities while we waited. Fortunately, our experience improved significantly at check-in. We were welcomed warmly, received a lovely room, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The spa, BBQ area, and lakefront setting were all great additions. Aside from the initial interaction, everyone we encountered was kind and accommodating. We loved our room and had a very enjoyable visit overall."
