I really enjoyed my stay at the Grand Ventura Inn. Checking in was simple, and the place felt clean and welcoming right away. The host was genuinely kind and easy to talk to, which made everything even better. The room was warm and comfortable after a long day out in the cold. Overall, it was a really good experience and I’d happily stay here again.

Very friendly and accommodating staff/owners, good location and competitive price compared to rest of Mammoth. Sadly, the bathroom was kinda gross. Red staining, probably mold, around the tub and in one of the corners along the baseboards. More mold on the ceiling. Bathrooms desperately need fans and remediation to combat this issue.

The facility and the room are overall very run down and barely kept up. The check in and the demeanor of the owner/manager on site, Raj, was very good and made a huge difference. But at the end if the day this is low end Motel in this new era and needs significant upgrades. Lightings, common area cleaning, bedding, towels, etc

The room was old feeling and the bedding was really thin. The bathroom needed to be fixed up. We just needed a place to crash before hitting the trail, so it worked. But it seemed a little overpriced for the condition. Location was good.

The property is very filthy with showers and bathtubs with visible molds. Area is close to restaurants and staff is nice but very poor hotel condition and it has a very strong poor smell

Great quality for price

My partner stayed there at the end of the John Muir Trail. I joined her on the second night Way above expectations for a 115$ night in a motel. The owner is very nice and went above and beyond when we had requests. There is no breakfast mentioned on hotels.com but there is a small breakfast available to grab at the lobby (bagels, coffee,..). The cleanliness is not perfect but good for the price. Rooms are comfy and soacious. I would definitely come back!!
