"The Grand was excellent. Location easy to get to train. Cafes just outside hotel we're great. The rooms are beautiful , clean and have everything you need. Very quiet hotel in middle of city. Staff very friendly and helpful. The pool, sauna and gym are great , well maintained . Breakfast was lovely, with good variety and quality. Will definitely visit again ."

"The staff are the biggest bonus for the hotel, from the reception staff, waiting and household staff. There does appear to be an issue with the level of staff availability in the kitchen. The food was very good but we did have to wait an hour for our starters one evening even though there was no more than 12 people in the restaurant. The menu didn’t change during our stay. Although a buffet breakfast was advertised, this is only available if they have a certain number of staying guests. On these occasions you are offered the full à la cart breakfast, but by day 3 we just want a lighter breakfast, fortunately this was a buffet morning. Parking is easy and plentiful and the hotel is serviced by the local bus service if you didn’t want or couldn’t walk into the centre. There is also Parnell train station, but we would only get that for the return journey as the walk is uphill and may be challenging for some"

"Property was incredibly well kept and clean, as were the rooms upon entering. We loved how they had options to skip room cleaning and donate towards Kiwi birds instead. The gym and pool were your typical hotel ammenities but were kept in top condition. The elevators were very fast, check in/out was a breeze with knowledgeable and staff. We opted to include lounge access which was a bit underwhelming - there were limited snack options throughout the day. We did enjoy the cocktail/drink hours from 5-7 - both bartenders made amazing drinks and were very kind. Overall a really good stay at the hotel."

"We loved staying here. The apartment is in a great location near Kohi beach and the bus stop (the bus runs every 15 mins to Auckland Center). The apartment was spotlessly clean and Maureen had included nice quality toiletries, bed linens, and plenty of towels. The kitchen is small and tricky for 2 people to work in simultaneously, but utensils and dishes were plentiful, a nesspresso milk steamer and kettle were included, and the knives were actually sharp! There is a lovely patio with couches and ambience fire and water feature. Washer and dryer were available for use. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it!"
