"This property is perfect from its location to the amenities it provided for our stay. We were a group of 7 (5 adults and 2 kids) and the layout was perfect allowing everyone to have their own space. The ample amount of natural light also created a very airy and homey feeling we all greatly appreciated. The house exceeded all areas of cleanliness in the linens, furniture, and the rooms themselves. The hosts were another amazing part to this property working with us and being very responsive to our questions and concerns. The surrounding neighbors are very kind as well and will help make you feel at home. The only thing we would give a heads up about is that the garage space will be tight if you are traveling with a minivan or similar sized car, so definitely keep that in mind. Overall we are looking forward to a time when we can come back to this property, it really helped to make a first time trip extra special."

"We had a wonderful stay here, it was sp much more than I expected and I can't wait to come back! This location was close to so many restaurants, and a grocery store which was perfect. It was so nice to just walk outside and have direct access to the beach. There's even your own private sitting area, which allowed a lot of fresh air and relaxation. The host was incredible! She checked in on me several times just to make sure our stay was up to par. The bed was also incredibly comfortable, and the room was just perfect for my me and my husband. We had an amazing trip."

"So let’s start off with the fact that we were displaced due to the Garden Grove Chemical spill. We thought that this would be temporary and chose to go on a mini vacay to Belmont shores. Although the photos on Expedia was slightly deceiving, we had a pleasant stay. My husband loved the place, I was thinking we should have splurged and gotten a King size room instead of the Queen, but this place was expensive and not knowing exactly how long we would be displaced, I did t want to “splurge” too much. The staff was super nice, friendly and helpful. The place was recently renovated, so everything was in good condition. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. There was a lot of natural light. The location was great since it’s in walking distance to some restaurants (which has good food) and the pier. There was even a nearby Vons, 7-11, AM-PM and liquor store. All within walking distance. Parking is a little tricky since they have a small park lot with room for maybe….4 or 5 cars (I don’t recall.) There’s plenty of street parking, but depending on where you park there’s a time limit. There are no amenities here except for a small mini fridge that you can place drinks. No ice machine, pool, etc. Overall it was a pleasant stay. We would have tried to stay for one more night since we couldn’t go home yet, but to spend close to $300 for another night was a little out of our budget."

"While there were certainly some positives for this property, they were overshadowed by the negatives.Positives:1. very clean 2. pretty ocean view from second and third floors3. pleasant host at check in4. pretty home (although needs some TLC)5. large garage made parking easy6. short 25 min walk to great coffee shops, restaurants, and shoppingNegatives:1. No response from host when we contacted him about some of the following issues:2. bathroom door did not shut in one bathroom3. not enough towels, washcloths, etc4. beach towels advertised but only one found5. told construction on house next door stops over weekend; it did not6. water did not get hot on second floor7. light bulbs missing in lamps8. one shower broken9. toilet issues10. broken locks on balconies11. could not get tv on main floor to work12. broken bed frame first floor bedroom13. not a usable beach (do your research)Could go on with other minor issues which by themselves, not a big deal, but collectively are very disappointing given the price paid for the place, and that all that is needed is a little attention and fixing up.One last oddity is that the place is covered in photos of the family. Although you know you're staying in someone else's home, seeing their pictures everywhere felt odd. We contacted the host but have not heard back. I do not like leaving negative reviews, but had we known about the above, we would've booked elsewhere."
