Amazing place to stay and visit Lucca walled city . The rooms are spacious beautiful decorated, comfy beds nice and cosy for when we got back from walking around the city. Breakfast was amazing, with loads to eat all fresh all great quality. Most of all the lovely people working there make you feel so welcome and we can thanks enough for all they did for us! Very nice
I loved Lucca and this hotel was right in outside town and super convenient. Everything was very good for the price. I would have preferred a hot breakfast but the selection was still nice. The bed is too soft for me, but that’s a personal preference and nothing to rate the hotel down on, just informational.

Our host was friendly and helped to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. He even delivered brown bag breakfasts to our room the day before we had an early tour departure. The other mornings, the breakfast was excellent and we ate in a pretty outdoor area. Our room was a bit small for our 3 single beds but the bathroom was large and everything was clean. If in Lucca, I would stay at Lucca In Villa Elisa & Gentucca again.

Enjoyable Stay
Good size bedroom snd bathroom. Enjoyable stay. Very nice bfast. Most courteous employees. Not as quiet as I thot it’d be - wore earplugs because of street noise. Located short walk from train station, short walk outside the walled fortress. I think Reception and Villa names signs need to be more prominent. I didn’t realize there’s 4 separate bldgs until I arrived.

well organized and located hotel
Elisa is a very short walk to the pedestrianized city, and it seems safe before dawn and late at night. I valued the convenience of the nearby city wall, a marvelous place to run and walk. The owner has an eye for unforced artistic decoration and is attentive to detail (including Covid 19 precautions). And switching the heating on when it's in the 50s outside is very welcome. Reception during daytime.

It was so close to the historical city of Lucca. The owners were so sweet. They heloed us book a reservation for dinner and took the time to explain a map of Lucca to us. Id stay here again.

This location was a good value overall. We were close to the walls of the original city and a short walk from the train station-15 minutes. There is not a refrigerator, but breakfast is ample. We had a nice little veranda off our room. This is more of a hotel room than a private residence. We were not contacted prior to arrival to confirm logistics, as with our other bookings, but if you have google map you can figure it out.

we had a very good holiday. Everything in the villa was perfect. We thought it would have been nice to have had a small bar on site maybe between the three villas somewhere if you didn*t want to go into town. Just a thought. Really Disappointing B&B
After reading the recommendations here we decided to book two nights at this hotel and were extremely disappointed. It all started with a late check in we had to do, unfortunately no one informed us that the reception works only until 6pm (strange by itself), and upon arrival we had to spend almost an hour looking for a way to contact a hotel personnel (a hard thing to do since the only number the hotel provided us id the reception's number, which was of course close. The room is ok, but not too clean, the bathroom as well. The bed was really uncomfortable and during all of the night we had a feeling we are getting stung by insects while lying under the blanket. The breakfast was quite poor, and after trying it out we decided to skip it the next day and just grab a bite else wear. We've seen some better b&b's, find yourself another place to spend your holiday in Lucca.

Absolutely perfect location with a really short stroll into Lucca; beautiful spacious room with high ceilings; light and airy. Classically designed. Everything clean and tidy. An unexpected bonus was that sheets and towels were changed daily. It doesn't get any better than this.

We had a great stay! Perfect location, really close to the old town. It was an easy drive to the place and there is parking on site. We had a large room and a nice breakfast. Definitely a good choice.

This is the third time we have stayed here. The breakfast was very good, the room was spacious and clean and there was free parking. It was very close to the walls and good value! I would recommend it and go again!

Lovely Bed and Breakfast just outside Lucca walls
We spent 4 days here and found it very comfortable our room had much needed air conditioning. Breakfast was in a separate building or an outside area, good selection as expected. We borrowed bikes and used them to travel around walls and into the town, we even ventured further a field to the river area. We had tickets to see James Taylor at the Piazza Napoleone a great experience and walked back from this along the wall area at midnight feeling very safe. We managed most of the sights and gardens in our stay it is a beautiful area to visit.

Was a great location and best Wi-Fi we've ever had in Europe or the US. The Assistance with locating restaurants was pretty good. We were given names of restaurants that we used that were excellent. The natural lighting was great in our room but without it there was not much lighting. The toilets were very strange. Sometimes they would flush and some time not. Breakfast was nothing compared to other European breakfasts. Very bad. Good free parking

Good hotel with parking right outside the old town
We stayed in this hotel during our two-week travel in Tuscany, Liguria and Piedmont. We really liked it. The young lady at the reception was very nice, professional and helpful. She provided us with some helpful tips about Lucca, etc. The hotel has free parking which was a huge plus for us (we had a rental car). The location of the hotel worked really well for us – it’s within a short walk to the old walls and old city center, so you have a quick access to all the touristy things; at the same time, after all the noise and crowds of the old town, you can go back to your room and have a good night rest in a quiet neighborhood. The continental breakfast was good – delicious coffee, pastry, boiled eggs, bread, cheese… enough to satisfy all tastes and needs. The room was of good size, clean, tastefully decorated with several interesting décor items, painted in nice pastel colors, very welcoming and warm; the bathroom was spacious, clean towels, some toiletries… We took some pictures (attached). We liked this hotel; we’ll definitely stay in it again, given the chance, and will be happy to recommend it to others.

Good Value Hotel Just Outside City Walls
We stayed here for two nights which was just about the right length of time. The hotel was easy to find by car and provided free parking. It is located a few minutes walk from one of the access gates through the city walls. This and its good value are its main selling points. Our room was spacious and comfortable but there was no drawer storage space or safe. The bathroom was modern and well appointed but the shower was a high fixed head which my wife found difficult to reach. Wifi was very good. Breakfast was basic Italian fare and was adequate for our requirements. The rooms aren't very well insulated and as a result there was quite a bit of noise transmitted from other rooms as well as traffic noise.

Right outside Elisia gate
Very nice room. Good breakfast just downstairs. We came to walk around and see Lucca and this was a great starting place for that. They have on-site parking which is a great convenience. We drove the Francigena for a change of pace. This is easily accessible.
