"We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed staying in this area. Easily walkable to the beach and the property had a nice shaded pool to cool off. The bikes were in rough shape, so we didn’t end up using them, but had a cooler and beach chairs available that we used throughout our stay. The shared wall/door with neighboring guests was a bit thin, but overall a quiet neighborhood just a short walk from the beach, Kalapawai Market, and Buzz’s Steakhouse. We even walked to the Lanikai Pillbox trailhead and did that hike one morning. Our room didn’t have a kitchen, but we made due with a coffee machine, toaster and vintage plug-in frying pan! We made use of the shared barbecue (needs the starter replaced). It was also very nice to be able to wash laundry - they even provided soap! The stained glass in the bathroom is beautiful! Would definitely recommend this property to others."

"This house was a dream Hawaiian vacation hub. We were able to visit with family around the pool. The guys especially loved the outdoor tv to catch the latest game! The neighborhood was nice and lots of close amenities. The hosts were very responsive. I also enjoyed playing the piano in memory of my dad that recently passed. Thank you so much!"

"The place and location are excellent for Kailua beach and groceries. One thing to note is that there are two units, one faces the ocean and one faces the back of the property with a view of the neighboring houses, street and pool (we were in the latter). Street is quiet as it is a cul de sac. Also of note is that this is a very authentic neighborhood experience— with construction noises and dogs barking and landscaping staff both in the property and neighboring houses. There are only very quiet cats on the property. The noise was not excessive for us, but a major roof renovation is underway so visitors may want to keep that in mind. The kitchen is well equipped— lots of opportunity for cooking and stocked for coffee and tea. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine (so nice!), flowers, and lovely toiletries. Amply supplied with towels. Well lit and a lovely lanai on both sides for eating and relaxing. Shower is great. Access to the loft is via a ladder — so be sure you are very spry if you’re planning to spend anytime up there. Bring eye shades if you are sensitive to light.wonderful place!mahalo for having us!"
