"First Patty at check in was beyond sweet and she was so welcoming. Really wonderful employee. There were small things that were lacking like no hand soap and the shower gel was almost empty so really no soap to speak of. Also they have this cute card talking about making yourself an afternoon cup of trees but no tea. And then we returned around 8:45 and ran out to go to our car to grab surfing and left our key in the room. I called the emergency number passed at reception since no one was left...

"We loved our first experience at Hotel Cashiers when we first came about 2 years ago so of course we wanted to come back. Pros: The staff are so friendly and helpful. The location is great, walking distance to most things in central Cashiers. Also, their restaurant is so so good! Cons: Our towels had hair in them from previous guests, the bathtub didn't drain properly, there was food leftover from the previous guest in our refrigerator, and some of the surfaces in the room hadn't been wiped...

Tucked in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this charming town offers scenic waterfalls and upscale shopping along Main Street. Hike to Whiteside Mountain's dramatic cliffs in the morning when local joggers have it mostly to themselves.

The ride from Franklin, NC to Highlands, NC, Highway-64, is an absolutely amazing drive. Offering ridge line views and multiple waterfalls. Most of the waterfalls are visible from the side of the road. If your a fan of waterfalls, like me, this area has a high concentration of large beautiful waterfalls and is worth the drive.
