"We wanted to love this. We stayed in the bunkhouse- that was what was available. It was NOISY. Think nyc apartment. The bathroom would use some TLC. Checking in was not friendly or seamless. Seemed like there was not a clear place to go and that we were in the way. "

"Carole was a great host and very helpful. It was our first time to stay “outside” of downtown Highlands but it was only a mile way. The weather was just right to enjoy the new fire pit outside as well as the fireplace in the living room (with wood and fire starter ready to light!).We had every thing we needed for eating in when we weren’t enjoying all of the incredible dining options nearby. It’s a little tricky if you want to walk into town but we found 2 options:Maney Rd directly across Hwy 28 or via a short trail at the end of Williamsburg Ct. in the adjacent neighborhood.We will definitely consider Carole’s place the next time we visit Highlands!"

"The house was quaint and had enough room for our needs. The back porch was a nice place to read & sit. I would have liked to try the front porch, but we came with great and chilly weather so I opted for the one with more sunshine.The bathrooms were stocked as if we were friends, not renters. Good attention to detail. The kitchen was comfortable to move around in and had ample room for dining/cooking. It was well-equipped and even had basic spices, oils, etc. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms also seemed more friendly than just basics. Lots of storage space (that we didn't need to use; but great option, nonetheless). "
