"It was so cold outside so we stayed in, fireplace and heaters kept us warm as well as the thick soft blankets, kitchen was equipped with all that I needed to cook, and the shower was plenty hot, sitting on the front porch looking up the foothills was breath taking and my dog had a blast, they left treats and a food bowl for her and had clean up stations throughout, was worth every dime "

"The cottage was just as shown. Extremely clean, cozy & within walking distance of Village of Black Mountain. We didn’t cook, but kitchen appeared to be well equipped for simple meal prep. We would definitely stay again. Check in & communication was easy."

"Everything was wonderful! Our hostess, Dellene had gone to great lengths to make her property clean, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing (we thoroughly enjoyed looking at all of her antiques and unique decorations). The bubbling brook running through the back of the property was so tranquil we immediately felt the tension leave our bodies and started relaxing as soon as we got there. We loved every minute we were at Dellene's River Retreat and hope to return one day."

"My wife and I are happy to recommend Jame's place to anyone. Clean, organized, quiet, landscaped beautifully on a long and winding road which is but a hope skip and a jump to Asheville. There's an Ingles for groceries nearby, if you need one, restaurants, gas, there's even a quiet little tavern up the road a bit if that's your thing. Friendly people there. Lastly, we had the place all to ourselves, felt like we owned the place. For me personally, that's a nice bit of freedom. Trust is...

"This is a great house for a long weekend in Asheville. The home was clean, comfortable and in the perfect location to all the Asheville activities. The owner was super responsive and incredibly helpful during our stay. Only thing to note is that the house is on a pretty busy street, not an issue but just something to keep in mind if you have kids and/or pets with you. Overall, we had an excellent time and would stay here again!"

The hosts have provided comforts that you find in high end hotels - towels and bedding are amazing along with the goat milk toiletries (my favorite brand) Beautiful neighborhood and surroundings with roses and a water feature. "Great place for a relaxing vacation. Close enough to all the hikes we were doing. Then we were able to come back and hop in the hot tub. About 15 minutes away from restaurants but keep in mind a lot close around 3pm on sundays. Small incline for the drive way but not on a busy road. Lots of beautiful plants around the cabin!"

"This home appears to have had a major upgrade to the entire interior. It is as cute as can be. Exterior is dated but please don’t judge this home by its exterior. The walk-in shower is a plus as were the plush towels and linens. The home is well stocked with all essentials. WI-FI works well and the LR has a Smart TV. It was a joy to stay here and are sad to be leaving this morning. Great place, extremely reasonable cost for a place minutes from Asheville,NC"

"Love, love the area! I used to live in the Haw Creek neighborhood years ago. My favorite part was the bay windows looking over the hollar. The house and property were perfect. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable. I also got to see wild Turkeys and black bears! I would highly recommend!"

"I took my mom to Asheville for Mother’s Day for a long weekend. We went to Biltmore and the outlets while we were there. The property was as pictured it is off the beaten path although it close to town. We did see wild turkeys and black bears but did not feel unsafe. Even my dog slept good and she struggles with relaxing when I travel. Definitely would stay again. Everything was clean smelled good and accessible."

"Beautiful cabin, loved the trail. The wrap around fenced in porch great for our babies (Casper and Ghost) to securely hang outside. Loved the fully stocked kitchen.
