Excellent cabin
We stayed for 12 days, and had an excellent time. The cabin packs a lot of amenities, including a shared laundry area which was super convenient, given our long-ish stay. The location is superb, facing a beautiful stream. You will be one hour away from the nearest town (Murphy or Franklin, the latter is nicer), so bring your groceries. Perfect vacation spot up in the Nantahala.

Small Cabin, Big Fun
Loved my vacay. It was me and my 65 pound poodle. The cabin was smaller than I imagined but perfect. I enjoyed a good bit of time relaxing in the hot tub, while Charlie liked the creek. We drove down to the Nantahala raft start and enjoyed the trails. On the way back up to the cabin we stopped at one of the pull offs so he could get in river. The WiFi service was great as I didn’t have a signal with T-MOBILE. There was 1 spot where I had a signal outside. Kent was very responsive and Diane did an awesome job of having the cabin clean and ready for us. I was skeptical the space heater would keep me warm but I burned up, the cabin sure kept its heat which was great. Would love to return when it’s a little warmer to be able to do more exploring.

Nice and quiet
Just a couple of issues. There is a little bit of black mold starting around the bathroom baseboards and towel pegs. Not enough hot water for two showers. Apart from these minor issues, it was just what we were hoping for.

Best trip for couples
Perfect getaway, clean, had everything we needed, and the pet fee was reasonable which is such a help when other places charge a crazy amount to bring your friends along, our dog has just as much fun as we did exploring

The cabinet was nice and the kitchen well equipped. You are right in the beautiful Nantahala Forest. The directions took me to the wrong location, saying I should bear right up the driveway when actually I needed to bear left. I figured that out and made it to my rental about 8:30 pm. Check in was after 4 pm. When I opened the door and turned on the light I was surprised that the bed had been slept in and still had not been changed. Upon looking around, I found an overflowing trash can, wet dish cloths in the sink, food in the fridge and towels in the bathroom floor. I contacted the host and reported that someone had forgotten to clean my cabin. I told him about the dirty linens, towels, trash and leftover food. He said that he would tell me where to find clean linens for the bed. He suggested that I just go ahead and clean the cabin myself. I replied that I was too tired from hiking and driving all day to clean the cabin, could I just stay at the one next door, which was identical to mine, if it was clean. He reluctantly agreed saying that he had that one blocked off for some reason. He told me if other people showed up to stay there that I would just have to work in out with them. Being a 56 year old woman by myself I was concerned the whole time that someone else would show up while I was there. Thankfully they didn’t.
