"This was our 3rd stay at Hidden Bear and we always love it! we've stayed during the Summer, Fall and Winter, and each season has been beautiful. Hidden Bear tucked into the woods in a quiet neighborhood setting in the Mirror Lake area. It's super close to town with quick access to main roads to venture to hikes, shopping, dining, etc. The house is beautiful, very clean, with updated decor, and the hosts were very easy to communicate with and super friendly and accommodating. I have nothing but great things to say about this retreat-type house and our experience. "

"First Patty at check in was beyond sweet and she was so welcoming. Really wonderful employee. There were small things that were lacking like no hand soap and the shower gel was almost empty so really no soap to speak of. Also they have this cute card talking about making yourself an afternoon cup of trees but no tea. And then we returned around 8:45 and ran out to go to our car to grab surfing and left our key in the room. I called the emergency number passed at reception since no one was left at reception and the man that answered the phone literally answered it Hello. That’s it i thought i had the wrong number. Then i said i locked myself out of my room and he said well I'm an hour away so let me see if anyone at the restaurant can let you in and hung up on me. It was so odd. It left a bad taste in my mouth so even though I’m giving the place 4 stars and it does have a beautiful setting i will never stay there again"

"This lovely house in a terrific location was perfect for the six of us, who had not visited in a long time. The rooms/bathrooms were comfortable and clean, the kitchen worked great for our cocktails/snacks, the living room was the perfect spot for early morning coffee and chats. The porch with lovely fireplace made for a great after dinner place to cozy up with blankets for more catch up conversations. Truly a perfect place for us all to gather as we enjoyed Highlands! "
