Take delight in a beautiful sunrise over Satulah Mountain from the front porch or unwind after a full day of activities on the private, covered back porch with wood burning stack stone fireplace and 60" flat screen TV.
Dogwood Cottage boasts one level living with step less back entry, two master suites, each with ensuite bathrooms and luxurious bedding. The kitchen is fully stocked and features quartz counter tops with custom cabinetry, opening to the beautiful living room with gas stone fireplace, 55" TV and lovely dining table seating 4-6. Dogwood Cottage will entice you with its elegant interiors and peaceful outdoor living spaces.
You will find yourself surrounded by the picturesque mountain views, roaring waterfalls, rivers, streams, bountiful vegetation and ample hiking trails throughout the Nantahala National Forest. People flock here to enjoy the great outdoors, hospitality, culture, live music, theater, shopping, fine dining, festivals and the captivating charm of Highlands.

The cottage was above and beyond our expectations! The beds and furniture were very comfortable. It was well stocked with all essentials. The decor is lovely..charming yet rustic. It is conveniently located just a few minutes drive to Highlands. We spent most of our time on the back porch with a fire. I will hopefully return for another visit!

Chris and Joy's home is everything you would want and expect for a wonderful stay in Highlands. Proximity to main street, clean, well stocked with everything you need. Lovely back yard and covered sitting area. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Wonderful stay at Dogwood Cottage
This property is a lovely place to stay. It is decorated so pretty and is super clean and well stocked.... the porches are the best to have your morning cup of coffee or your early evening glass of wine listening to the birds sing!Very relaxing and peaceful!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful home! It was one of the most well-stocked rental homes we’ve ever stayed in and had seasonings and cooking supplies on hand, hiking gear, tons of magazines to read by the fire on the evenings, I could go on and on. The location was perfectly situated close to town but in a residential area that still feels remote and private. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating, too. This is already on our list to return to next year!

Perfect little getaway
We loved Dogwood Cottage and cannot wait to go back! Of all the rentals we've had in and around Highlands, this one was our favorite! It was perfect for four people and had plenty of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy.

This is a super cute cottage! Very clean and kitchen was well stocked. Comfortable beds and the back porch with fireplace and TV was incredible. Very short drive to downtown. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it. The hosts were great!

Great Cabin!
Our stay at this cabin was very comfortable, we loved the location near town and it was decorated very cute.
It took a few times figuring out the entry pad, but after that it was fine.
We were able to check in early which worked out well for our schedule.
Would highly recommend this cabin!

Can’t say enough about how great this property is. Front and back outdoor areas are awesome for hanging out and the home itself is updated and appointed to a tee. The entire house is stocked with everything you can possibly think of and the few questions we had were answered promptly. Will try and book this house every time we return!!

Perfect location! Close to Main Street, trails , the art center. The neighborhood is perfect for walking . This was the most wonderful place. We have very limited experience with renting houses, and this was a very good experience!! The house was very clean, well-appointed, and very nicely decorated. It was close to town and convenient to stores and restaurants. Any questions we had during our stay were immediately answered by the host. We VERY MUCH enjoyed the outdoor fireplace on the back porch. We will definitely return to this house to experience all the seasonal changes!! A 5-star visit!!
