Rosebay Cottage was a very serene, clean, and beautiful place to stay! Tucked into the woods with a nice mountain view. Well appointed with everything you’d need. The back porch was our favorite place to gather and enjoy the fireplace! We hope to return sometime soon.

We all loved the covered deck. Perfect for catching up, playing games and enjoying the fireplace. We didn’t expect rain all weekend but it didn’t matter. Plenty of space throughout the house. We’d definitely recommend to others. The grand finale was a visit by a huge mama bear and her three cubs. Could not have scripted it any better.

Wedding weekend stay

This property was so accomodating for our large family gathering for a wedding weekend. The spacious outdoor patio space, with woodburning fireplace, was particularly welcoming and provided adequate cover from the mountain storms.I would highly recommend this property for a large group of people, with comfortable beds for all, plenty of bathrooms, and cozy living spaces.

Perfect spot for a girls weekend!

We could not have picked a better place to stay. The house was spacious and well equipped. The beds were so comfortable and the back porch with a fireplace was to die for. It was very close to town and to local restaurants. We would highly recommend to others!

Fantastic porch!

Great location. Shared living spaces were awesome, especially the porch. We had a large party and there was plenty of room for all to gather together. The only complaint is the beds in a couple of the rooms were uncomfortable.

Great property

The location and property were amazing! Me and my friends spent so much time hanging out on the back patio and it was so nice. Host was easy to get in contact with and all of the instructions were super easy to follow. Highly recommend this place for large groups!

An unforgettable Christmas!

My family and I stayed here over Christmas and had the loveliest time. We stayed in and cooked the majority of the time, and the house was perfectly equipped with everything we could've ever needed. Barbara went above and beyond with the Christmas decor which made it extra special and festive! The indoor and outdoor fireplaces were a huge plus. This was exactly what we were looking for and exceeded expectations!

Perfect family retreat

We have a large (9 people) family and there was plenty of room and privacy. We had a toddler with us and he did great but I would recommend some childproofing once you set there. Kitchen was great and so was the outdoor fireplace! Road to and from was tight but never caused a p. Would definitely go again!

Mountain Freshness

Highlands, NC is a beautiful mountain town that during a boiling Summer, is a cool refuge. The home is very comfortable, well appointed and has an exceptional covered deck complete with fireplace in a forest setting. Only downside is no mountain view. Still, minutes from town and a beautiful setting.

Highlands Adventure: Waterfalls and Chattooga Sec IV

Very nice and interesting home for seven people (5 adults and 2 teenagers)! The family particularly enjoyed eating out on deck and relaxing on the large, open covered porch. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. Loved the mountain and bear decor! Located close to restaurants, groceries, and shopping, as well as for accessing rivers and hikes to waterfalls. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Wedding

The property is so beautiful and charming. The host did an excellent job of responding with any question I had. The back patio is like a tree house, incredibly lovely and relaxing. Although we were extremely busy with my daughter’s wedding we felt lucky to have such a nice place to call ‘home’ for a few days.

Hidden gem in Highlands

Wonderful stay at this lovely warm home nestled in the woods just east of Highlands. Perfect for 4 senior couples who travel together once a year Would give a 4.5 to 4.75 rating Grill grates were rusted outside on deck ( no cover seen) but we loved cooking in the chef’s kitchen ! Bedrooms very clean but a little small except the master suite Dogs barking at night and rough entry road but not terribly annoying Great home for a family retreat Excellent host very responsive clear home rules and directions Would definitely stay here against !

Peaceful mountain retreat

Beautiful home enjoyed by all my family. Had everything we needed. The property is tucked away among the trees with a patio setting we never left. The host provided notes where we knew where everything was the minute we arrived. Booked the house again for next year. My husband and I highly recommend booking you next stay.

Great house!

Really great house for family. Babies to adults. Convenient to downtown, waterfalls and hikes. Kitchen was very well stocked with cookware and appliances. The porch was our favorite part of the the house. Spent most of our time when at the house out there surrounded by the beautiful area and great weather. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Highlands!
