"Beware!!! You must have off road capabilities if you stay here. The roads are muddy gravel, one lane roads that are very steep. Rented cabin for 3 nights. The first morning there was a light rain and I was unable to get to the cabin due to the muddy roads. I have a newer front wheel drive SUV and it was unable to get through the mud. I had to abandon my stay and hike up the mountain 3 times to retrieve my stuff. They do not give refunds so I had forfeit the fee for the rest of my trip and pay to...

"Needed an easy in and out overnighter for a paddling trip on the Tuckasegee River. This was perfect and convenient to so many places.
