"A very clean hotel on San Francisco bay. The staff is very friendly and kind. I have stayed there several times over the last 10 years. We love the cookies in the evening and continental breakfast in the morning. The have free bike rentals also."

"Be aware: parking is an additional $35. There is a parking garage that is below the hotel with compact spaces available, although they don’t have enough for all the guests. Rooms are large and clean. Beds comfortable. Breakfast outstanding! Made to order omelettes available upon request. Pool small for hotel size. No hot tub. Fitness room nice. Staff very friendly. Doing laundry was a pain. Had to use app or credit card and it cost $3 each load. All in all, good experience. Would stay there again."

"Gorgeous historic hotel, top notch amenities. Stuff is very helpful and friendly. Restaurant is very good. One thing to know - not all rooms are equally well located and appointed. Our room central AC was broken, and portable AC unit was very noisy. We asked to move to a different room, which was much better but had windows with frosted glass for privacy. Do inquire ahead of time to make sure you are booking a good room."
