We are sorry you did not appear to have enjoyed your stay with us.As you would have been aware when you booked, we have both a budget and superior apartment type to choose from. Of the 17 apartments, there are only 4 budget apartments, clearly described as such in the booking information. These budget apartments are often chosen by repeat guests as they are large 2 bedroom apartments at great value.The budget apartments are being progressively renovated to superior standard but in the meantime they are discounted to allow for the fact that they are not renovated as yet.In relation to any maintenance issues, we would have been very happy to rectify them for you at the time or, if necessary, moved you to another apartment if you had brought your concerns to our attention during your stay.In particular, the "holes" you refer to relate to screw holes resulting from the installation of a brand new air conditioning system in the apartment. The wall is compressed timber particle board and we are sorry these small screw holes have not as yet been filled and painted. The suggestion that these walls are asbestos is both inaccurate and defamatory, which is no doubt why your complaint is anonymous.

We are working on the external upgrade of the apartments over the next 12 months.The pool is cleaned regularly but with the tropical weather it must have got the better of us. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We wish you had mentioned it at the time of your stay and we would have had it cleaned immediately.

Hi Cory, So sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. We really wished you had raised any issues you had with us so that we might have had a chance to assist. The property has no permanent residents. The property is situated in a very quiet residential street, only a short walk to a beautiful beach which many of our guests really appreciate particularly appealing to families during school holidays. We understand that your circumstances changed and you had to leave early but you did not raise this with us in order for us to assist you. We feel that the apartments are well equipped and spacious, in a good location and very good value for money. The photos have been taken recently and we believe represent the property accurately.

Thank you for drawing it to our attention. Bugs are definitely a problem in the tropics especially after the unprecedented rain we have been having. The property is treated regularly with non toxic products to keep this at bay.

We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. The property is listed as basic, budget accommodation and is we believe, reasonably priced for what it is. As to the cleanliness, this is most important and we will pay closer attention to this and will ensure that the cleaning standard is more closely monitored. As to insects, the units are sprayed on a regular basis however being by the beach and in a tropical vegetation environment it is extremely difficult to ensure that there is never an insect in the Unit. It is illegal to smoke in a rental Unit in Qld and we enforce this rule strongly. Guests are advised on the websites, on check in documentation and with signs but this does not always mean we can stop it. On inspection we did not detect this, however we are sorry that this disturbed you. We also respectfully suggest that you discuss these issues with the manager so that action can be taken to correct the issues where possible. Kind regards. The Manager
