"A great place to stay in Bern! Nice lounge area with free coffee/tea available 24 hours. Although they give you codes to doors and rooms in advance, there is a host at the hotel most hours. You can have a key card if you prefer this instead of codes. I would have liked the option to buy a drink to enjoy on the Roof Top Terrace. Amazing views from there. "Our stay at the Bären was fantastic. The staff is absolutely wonderful, friendly, accommodating. The Hotel and room is very clean. We were able to do early check in and our room had a little fridge and microwave, which was fantastic because we travelled with a toddler. They also put in a little bridge between the two single beds so we could all sleep in the big bed, no baby bed needed. "Good hotel, amazing location, good breakfast spread (eggs, bacon, cheese, yoghurt, cereal, croissants, pancakes, juice). We had the family room which was on 4th floor. The only con would be that the room was really warm, even though it was cold outside. We needed to switch the AC on because it was so warm in the room. Other than that very convenient stay."
