My parents stayed at this resort to celebrate my mom’s 60th birthday, and unfortunately their experience fell far short of expectations. Before they arrived, I called the resort to ensure everything was in order and to let the staff know they were celebrating a milestone birthday. The woman I spoke with seemed completely uninterested and offered no assistance or acknowledgment whatsoever, which was disappointing from the start. Upon arrival, they were assigned a room with a strong moldy smell and a view directly overlooking the dumpsters. After an already long day of traveling, instead of being able to relax, they had to wait while the hotel arranged to move them to another room. This is not the first impression anyone wants, especially when celebrating such a special occasion. Throughout their stay, the service continued to be underwhelming. The staff was not nearly as attentive or welcoming as we expected. Every evening they had to wait to be seated at the restaurants despite there being numerous empty tables because the restaurants appeared to be severely understaffed. It made dining unnecessarily frustrating. On a positive note, the food was very good, and the resort itself had a nice ambiance. However, the service simply did not match the quality of the property. Given that the staff knew they were celebrating a 60th birthday, it would have been nice to see some acknowledgment—even something as simple as a welcome drink or a small birthday gesture. Angel at the Cortes restaurant was super nice he went the extra mile for us, very knowledgeable about how to treat people, the only reason I didn’t gave 5 to the resort is because the reception was very disorganized and people were waiting in line not knowing where to go.also the food at the food court some of them were cold and coffee was not good for my experience..

The upside was the outdoor space was beautiful, food good, and staff were wonderful! The downside was the pool water was very warm, rooms were a little outdated, towels were awful! No outdoor tables or space to relax in the evening.
