"Overall we experienced a great stay at Barcelo Puerto Vallarta. We stayed for 7 days between April 15th and 22nd, with sunny blue skies every day. The location was perfect - lots of activities both at the resort and around that you could do. We did one day with the boat excursions through the hotel (Jack Sparrow), heading to a waterfall and snorkelling. You could see fish without even snorkeling. Mismaloya itself has a few different tequila tasting places, convenience stores, and lots nearby. The rooms were surprisingly big and clean. We probably could have fit the four of us in one room if we wanted. The restaurants and buffet was pretty good. Lots of options at the buffet and they do different theme nights so some were better than others (e.g. mexican night, seafood night, prime rib night). The Los Arcos was our favourite restaurant. Some food was amazing and some was meh, so just depends what you get. Resort staff was all very friendly and made sure you weren't bored. There is a daily board showing all the activities you can choose from (e.g. beach volleyball, archery, airsoft shooting, water aerobics, blackjack, bingo). With the sport activities there wasn't as much participation but still enough to have fun. On busier days with weddings or events there may be less staff around but you can always get a drink at the cantina if they aren't coming around the pools. Would recommend. "

"Everybody was so friendly."

"My husband and I had the most wonderful time at your resort. The food was delicious, the property was beautiful and the staff so kind and welcoming. Our only note of feedback was the Asian restaurant. Service and food did not match up to the rest of the hotel. We waited about 45 min for our food and had to walk up the bar to get a 2nd glass of wine. Our waiter was rarely around. All of the other restaurants were superb! "

"This was our first stay at Villa del Palmar , very family friendly and the outside areas are beautiful! The staff very excellent and friendly there are many activities for adults and children We sleep through the night since it’s super quiet and peaceful. The constant harassment from Mago and the time share team did not affect my stay since all was amazing. Thank you Villa del Palmar for a great stay. Blessings to everyone there. "

"Nice, clean resort and friendly people."

"Clean and modern with plenty of electrical outlets for charging gadgets. The Alamo rental office is just a few doors down, and the airport is very close by. The parking situation was confusing. They have a parking lot behind the building, but it was padlocked. There also seemed to be a parking deck but I couldn't find the entrance amid the one-way streets. When I asked where to park, the manager offered to let me remain overnight in one of the few spaces by the front door used for checking in. That was gracious, and I was happy to accept, but I would expect parking drama if we stayed again."
