"Well located, nice bar area. Rooms are ok - comfy enough, quite minimalist, breakfast is continental which was ok but the bar area isn’t ideal location for it as not many tables to eat at."

"Fantastic stay at Code, Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Stayed in the deluxe double which was great and daily events list which was unexpected. Food great, cannot find fault in anything. Will definitely stay at code again next time in Edinburgh"

"Lovely friendly staff. Nice spacious room but it was in need of some tlc. Some horrible stains on the carpet & curtains and a very peeling faux leather chair. Quite dusty in the higher areas. Only 1 lift working for 10 floors so make sure you're not in a rush! Fantastic location and not too noisy considering how central you are. The bar was lovely and all the staff we came across were very helpful and friendly. "

"This is the perfect location when staying in Edinburgh! Hotel staff is so friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and immaculately clean! So conveniently located for tour meeting spots , and the iconic hill up to the Royal mile is right outside the door! This is the place to stay!"

"The IKEA furnished hotel. All modular and undersized and “efficient “, very little shelf areas, no place to set things, the bathroom is undersized and does not fit a 6 foot tall person. Staff was friendly, breakfast great. Good location."

"It was a good place to stay for a weekend. It is as advertised and worked well for a couple of days. My concern is security the front desk staff is young. I forgot my room number they told me I asked for another key they gave it to me.. all with out any form of ID. Finally I left my key in the room with my adult son and they scanned me up the elevator with out any ID. These were all different times of the day. Yes I was a bit scattered but it really bothered me that no one asked me for ID and it wasn’t the same person who I spoke to each time. Would I stay again probably not because I felt unsafe with the kids manning the desk."

"Lovely, helpful staff. The room was great for one night but would have been a bit small and stuffy for any longer. Good location once you know what you are doing regarding bus/tram/train for getting around. We stayed for a concert on that side of Edinburgh and it worked well for that. Little kitchen area in the room ok for making a coffee and eating a snack but nothing more really."

"We had a premium king room. The room was about 3 feet bigger than the bed, no place to be other than in the bed. No in room coffee…I know but that’s how I function…but it was free downstairs. A digital heat/air system that had us baffled and cold. On the plus side it was in a quiet area, two blocks off Princess Street and 15 minutes walking from Dean Village. "
