Outstanding service. Numerous added touches that made the stay especially memorable — Christmas morning “stocking” filled with fruit, nuts and tea canister’” traditional Scottish food menu items along with many other choices, excellent housekeeping service (phone charger cords neatly tied up with a hotel tie), lovely afternoon tea and Christmas dinner. Fantastic stay!

The location of The Balmoral Hotel is excellent. We used the valet service for parking and this worked very well for our short stay. Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Housekeeping deserves a special mention as the room was spotless with a daily service and then a turn down service in the evening. We will definitely be returning to this amazing hotel.

Gem in the heart of Edinburgh

Beautiful hotel within easy walking distance of both Old Town and New Town. It is right at the exit of the Waverley Train station with many choices for shopping and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is extremely comfortable with a great staff available to help with any request.

Didn't eat there. Had good tea and coffee in room with a little bottle of milk in the fridge. Wonderful room, excellent shower, bath, toiletries towels and linens. Kelly at the front desk was lovely. I go back and forth from US to Scotland a couple of times a year and will definitely be back to the Balmoral.

Fantastic experience and most friendliest hotel staff I met recently. Breakfast is amazing as well. Located conveniently closer to the Edinburgh Railway Station and walkable distance to the Royal Mile and other attractions. Must stay if you are after a relaxing stay.
