This was an apartment-style hotel that was in a quieter area in the city but still within a 30-minute walking distance of all the places I had planned for my trip to Edinburgh (I love walkable cities, so this is not a disadvantage at all lol) + within a 5-minute walking distance to a convenient bus stop. All of the staff I encountered were friendly & accommodating, & I loved that there was a little café downstairs. It was clean & aesthetic, & I plan to stay at more Locke hotels in the UK + Europe!

They gave us a room located right below the café, and we could hear all the noise from the café at all hours of the day, starting as early as 7 a.m. On top of that, there was a sliding door right in front of our room, and every time the cleaning staff went in and out, we could hear the noise as well. Way too much noise for a hotel at that price.
