Great location and fantastic views
We loved staying here and had a lovely time. We enjoyed the beautiful views and convenient location. It had everything we needed and I was happy I could bring my dog. One small problem was the bathroom light was not working but otherwise we had everything we needed. Thank you.

Location and value for money
This house is in a great location within a 10 minute walk to Dolphin Quay, with direct water access (gated) if you want to kayak. It was so nice sitting on the deck overlooking the water. It’s older style but this is reflected in the cost, and it’s spacious with good furnishings and all you need. Note that access to the downstairs 4th bedroom/ table tennis room and to the 2nd bathroom/Laundry is external.

School spring break
We had a lovely stay in Mandurah particularly notable because I hadn’t read the listing properly and Shona very calmly helped me through the check in process. The house was perfect for our needs. The kids took the kayaks on the marina and we relaxed on the deck. Mandurah was such an easy place to be and I felt comfortable giving the girls (both12) the freedom to investigate on their own

A wonderful view, excellent location.
Exactly what I was looking for. A tidy, clean and modern beach shack with a view overlooking the marina. Walking distance to everything- the bridge, esplanade and the marina. I’ll be coming back.

Unfortunately the property was advertised as dog friendly which is not the case. The property is not fenced properly in the back yard which resulted in my dog getting out. The property backs onto the water as well as a main road. My dog was nearly hit by cars which caused a very unpleasant stay, we ended up leaving the property a lot earlier then we had booked for because I did not feel safe staying at the property after this point.

Hi Erin, I'm not sure what kind of dog you have but the property is fenced entirely and I have never had a problem with a dog getting out of the property. The photos clearly show the fencing. Regards

Dodgy Digs
The only thing this property has going for it is the location. The house is terrible. Badly advertised as all it says, is the 2nd bathroom is downstairs - it does not say it is outside - not ideal especially in cold and rainy weather. The floors are not level and in places look as though they might be rotting. The beds are shocking, mattresses are way too soft and covered in what appears to be pet hair (as are the pillows). There is what looks like mould in the corners of some of the bedrooms. Kitchen has the necessary appliances, but the tap drips and is so stiff to move, as is the oven door. I could go on.. Outside the "private beach" would be lovely if it wasn't overgrown and strewn with rubbish. I made sure that we wore aqua shoes when we put our kayaks in the water. The fence on the water side of the property is not fixed properly and if someone bumps into it, fear it could fall. We also noted that the front wooden gate is held together at one point by a plastic bag. All in all, we had a great weekend away, but it certainly was not as a result of staying in this property. I would not recommend staying here unless some serious renovations are done.

First Impression ...very poor
Nearly turned around and drove away at first site. It is a very old and not terribly well renovated home. The only good thing about this property is the location. The "queen"bed was so uncomfortable my wife and I ended up sleeping in the single beds. Pet friendly yes (not sure why the extra premium is charged) but not for a small puppy who can still fit through the fences and get lost in the bushes. The "downstairs" shower, laundry and additional bed/games room are only accessible by going outside and down the external stair case and unlocking the doors...I could go on!!!

I think this is the 4th time we have stayed. A few maintenance issues that were advised. Only negative is you need shade on the deck out the back. We set up our gazebo but would be great if we didn’t have to take.

House in great location and had what we were chasing. Should have been communicated that the hot water system needed to be on as we had cold showers first night, but was resolved with a phone call to agent. House is a little wonky in places but the house had everything we needed and suited our needs, kids loved the fishing from little beach at back of house

Ideal holiday house and location.

The Very best of Locations
This house is located right on the water, so the children could kayak and swim all day from the private beach, we could also tie up our 25' boat with ease to the shore and as it is so protected no worries with drift. A great beach house in a fantastic location, close to everything at Dolphin Quay. The house offered everything you could need and more, thank you we will definitely be back and recommend it to our friends.

Great location
Location was great… short walk to Town Beach, the public jetty, the foreshore and cafes. We caught fish and crabs off the public jetty and also directly from the house’s shore. The house itself is old but neat and tidy. All the amenities and appliances worked perfectly. We found it had everything we needed for our stay. Our kids really loved the big front and back yard, and access to the water from the property. A couple of things to be aware of with the property though… there are quite a few stairs at the front of the house leading to an ageing deck so probably not great for elderly guests or those with a baby and pram etc. Also, the life jackets for the kayak are very old and no longer safe to use, neither is the ping pong table.

Fantastic location
We spent the Christmas week at this lovely property. The location and views were fantastic. The home was very clean and well equipped. The main living areas and the main bedroom had cool split systems which worked a treat. The two minor bedrooms had no air conditioning which was a little uncomfortable during the hot spell. There is no shade to the deck so if staying during Summer bring a gazebo or large umbrella, otherwise this beautiful deck is unusable during the day The down stairs games room / 4th Bedroom was musty and very hot. This needs a split system air con as the fans just move the hot air. The old table tennis table needs to be removed as the legs are falling apart. Overall we had a truly lovely holiday and the positives out weighed the negatives. Thank you for having us 😀😀

The property was lovely and clean old and a little worn but awesome location Have not ever done this before so a couple of things came as a shock like paying extra for sheets and towels and beds to be made up And having to clean before I leave but we all pitched in and it was a breeze to do

Great location, very clean , everything you need is supplied by the host, very well equipped. The only issue I had was the stairs for my 86 year old father but in fairness the I hadn't mentioned I was taking an elderly person, perhaps it could be mentioned in the description. The house is in a wonderful location, walking distance to all the main entertainment precincts in Mandurah and the beach. The house is very comfortable with good kitchen facilities, comfy beds and a lovely deck and sun room. It does need a little upgrading however. The second bathroom and toilet is only accessible from the outside down a flight of stairs so was not ideal for our situation. This was not well explained in the ad description.

Relaxing
A lovely property right next to the water. Comfy beds and easy to cook in kitchen. Really enjoyed the sunroom and the outdoor deck with the water views plus having a kayak made for some great fun and exercise. We did think from the photos that the house was bigger but as the weather was so nice there was enough room (4 adults and 2 teenagers) had it been raining we would have found it a little tight. We didn’t realize the fourth bedroom was a renovated garage with outside/downstairs access so a couple of the adults ended up bunking together in the same room. Appreciated the washing machine and dryer plus the other household items available to make for a comfortable homey stay. Thank you.

Great House close to everything
Don’t be put off by the appearance of this property. It’s a great house and it’s close to everything Mandurah has to offer. The view is terrific. Great beaches are just a short walk away. We took our dog with us and the Property Manager was really good about letting us bring our medium size labradoodle. Most properties only allow a small dog.

Great family holiday
Amazing location a few minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. Our kids spent hours playing on the kayak on the estuary right outside the house. The house whilst old was laid out perfectly for families. The downstairs room had a pool table and two single beds and own shower and toilet. Well equipped kitchen. Great holiday. We will be back.
