INCREDIBLE VIEW!! 5 BEDROOM HOME WITH PRIVATE POOL OVERLOOKING THE OCEAN!

"Everything was beautiful and fit perfectly for our group. The only thing I wasnt prepared for was the humidity. No AC and the ceiling fans felt like they were set on a lower setting. Cooled down some at night though. Despite the humidity I would still recommend this house. Beautiful view, nice and spacious and the pool was perfect for cooling down."

"This is a very nice, out of the way location. Our group was very happy with the accommodations and amenities. The only negative feedback I received was with the Ohana house. Having been to Hawaii on other trips, we looked for a location that had A/C. The main building had A/C and excellent air flow, but the separate building was a little warm for the family with small children."

"Great house and deck. Description of the drive n and out was very accurate. Dining outside on the large table was great for our group. It was easier to get to Volcanos National Park from here than it would have been from Kona."

"Rick’s Place IS Paradise-truly heavenly! We've stayed in many VRBOs over the years, and this has been our favourite by far.Dan is an amazing host, and the home had every amenity we could have wanted. We especially loved the serene ocean views, spectacular sunsets, dolphins swimming by, the soothing sound of the waves, the plunge pool, and the peaceful atmosphere.The location was perfect for exploring the island. We enjoyed visiting nearby beaches, roadside fruit stands, Banana Bread Spot, fantastic snorkelling, the Coffee Shack, and the Kona Magic Chocolate farm (don't miss their Saturday and Sunday tastings-you'll leave with chocolate!). Every day brought a new adventure.Rick's Place gave us the opportunity to experience the authentic Big Island, so peaceful, beautiful, friendly, and full of aloha. We are AC people and took a chance based on others’ reviews-they are correct- the bed, and ocean breeze no AC required. Mahalo, Dan, for sharing your special place with us. We hope to return one day!"

"Our hosts were knowledgeable about the area and friendly. The view from our balcony (lānai) was amazing with all the lush plants and flowers. The breakfasts were delicious and hardy! We even loved the coqui frogs singing us to sleep at night!"
