The location is perfect with a lake and bushwalk nearby. It’s also within close driving range to Leura, Katoomba and Blue Mountains National Park. "Blackheath is one of our favourite parts of the Mountains and we enjoyed our few days in the cottage. It is close to great walks and shops. We loved the leafy secure front and back yards for our dog and kids to enjoy. Hosts easy to communicate with and we appreciated the later check-out. Wifi worked well too! "We loved this rustic, hidden gem!! A super spot for a family getaway with lots of nature time, fresh air and peace. Fiona and Mike were super hosts, extremely helpful, kind and responsive! We loved the simplicity of the place. It was super cosy and a great spot for our family. Our big boys rode their bikes, whacked the tennis ball, toasted marshmallows and roasted chestnuts. We all went apple picking in Bilpin, had a wonder about the Tomah botanical gardens and enjoyed a hot spa! We loved...

"Loved tasteful decoration and the interior design, everything is very clean, neat and tidy. We enjoyed our stay."

"Kitchen drawers were cluttered ,untidy with some dirty utensils in them. No bathmat or hand towel in the bathroom. The fitted bottom sheet did not fit the mattress properly. The rug on the lounge floor was dirty. I folded it up so as not to walk on it. General untidiness of cupboard containing broom, clothes airer etc."

"Simple well equipped hideaway perfect for couples and small family groups. We loved opening up the house to enjoy the garden and bird life with our afternoon drinks. The kitchen is small, but well stocked with appliances and utensils."

"Had a big family wedding at chapel hill retreat, and found hunting lodge convenient, well appointed and most enjoyable. A BBQ with drinks and the fire on was everything the blue mountains represents,the owners were extemely helpful either left belongings, thank you John and Ruth for a wonderful stay we look forward to staying again in the future."
