Our host confirmed our time of arrival by phone the day before and met us on arrival which was fantastic. She was very hospitable and we instantly felt welcome. The Manse is a beautifully restored house located a few minutes walk from the Main Street so was very quiet. A lovely old building in a great location. The bed was amazing, very comfortable! The bathroom was enormous with a spa and spacious shower. The downsides to the room was the lack of any kind of storage or space to put anything. Only 2 armchairs and a coat rack, no wardrobe, and i desperately needed an iron which i could only ask for the next day during staffing time. The bathroom also lacked any storage or shelving. I would have preferred an option to sleep on a western style bed due to my age [80 yrs] and not on a traditional floor setting otherwise my stay was a delight.
