For those who haven’t travelled on Virgin for a while, a reminder it’s still leather/pleather which is slightly uncomfortable.
Was no air conditioning
The flights with Jetstar were ok. Staff were cool. Long delays on both flights due to bad weather apparently and the looooong lines waiting to board were extremely tedious (the staff could have waited to line us up and not have us standing there for 20 minutes) but overall, we arrived safely and it was an ok experience in total.
Little leg space.
Always a pleasure to fly with in all the years I have been flying tiger it has always been awesome.
The announcement need to be more legible and understandable for all travelling public without any particular English slang
Fast and efficient
We did have an hour delays, the reason was not told unfortunally
Could have supplied better food than a biscuit

Trade the ocean views at Bondi Beach for the shops at Queen Victoria Market when you book Sydney to Melbourne flights. To kick start your adventure in the south, from New South Wales to Victoria, head to Sydney Airport (SYD), one of the world’s oldest commercial international airports. Located roughly 8 km south of city centre, the airport offers a number of options to accommodate your arrival. Driving yourself? Head to the P1, P2, or P3 car parks, located next to the Domestic Terminals, or make your way to the Blu Emu Car Park, which provides shuttle service. Alternatively, if your mate is giving you a ride, cruise over to the drop-off zone on the departures level.
Flights from Sydney to Melbourne arrive at Tullamarine Airport (MEL). Also called Melbourne Airport, it provides a number of parking options. There’s a long-term car park, along with a lot that serves T1, T2, and T3, and another that provides spaces for T4. There’s a pick-up zone on Arrivals Drive for T1, T2, and T3, and a separate area for T4 on level two of the Transport Hub. As for the drop-off zone, departures level one is designated for T1, T2, and T3, and the Transport Hub level one is designed for T4.
In just 1 ½ hours on the airplane, you’ll begin seeing the Victoria coastline. Grab a window seat and see if you can pinpoint the Yarra Valley below. Flights to Melbourne cover just over 700 km, so grab something to sip on, flip through a magazine, and you’ll be landing in no time.
