"We chose The Market Tavern because of it's location - it is in the same village where our son, daughter-in-law and new grandson live and we were visiting.
The whole property has been tastefully renovated and is lovely. We had eaten in the pub before but not stayed.
Bampton is a quaint village with plenty of amenities and is well placed for visiting lots of interesting places.
Breakfast was good with cold and cooked choices. Staff were friendly and attentive.

"Nice clean room.the reason for the average score is there is no breakfast and the food on a sunday stops at 6pm.we arrived just after six with no food available anywere near the property.Fair enough if they do this every sunday but tell the customers on the website before they book. on the monday evening food was available and was very nice. all in all a nice pub and hotel ."

"Really nice hotel, room was spacious, staff friendly and helpful. A bit of a wait for breakfast as were full, bar stopped serving at 11pm on a Friday even for residents and air con in room was intermittent and no remote, but these were minor things for a really nice hotel with good staff a pub and restaurant on site."
