"The views from the hotel were outstanding. We faced Hilo Bay and loved the beauty of the property. I am diabetic so I would have preferred a breakfast that included some protein. The bread and fruit was nothing I could eat so I gave mine to my family. The coffee was great. I enjoyed the egg dishes I had in the restaurant. Everyone was friendly."

"We stayed for 4 nights on this side of the island to go to the national park and explore around Hilo. This house is very clean and in a nice quiet neighborhood. The fans cool it off in the night fairly quickly, but it can get pretty hot in the day without an AC. Great communication from the owner leading up to the trip."

"We loved our stay in the downstairs apartment with our own outside terrace overlooking the garden. It was spacious with a comfortable sofa bed in the living room for extra people. It was great to have our own kitchen and to have a big jar of coffee provided to kickstart each day. It’s not far from the Volcano Park with easy access to Hilo. Thoroughly recommend staying here."

"We enjoyed this unique property, especially the deck in the morning and evening. The stray cats were sweet and my daughter really liked having them around. Only issue was with the showers. The outdoor closed in shower was very hot and unable to change the temp; the indoor shower was chilly and the other outdoor shower ‘one with nature’ was just right. Other than that, the property was as described."
