"Pros: The massage was excellent and easily the highlight of the stay. Staff were friendly and generally attentive, the nightly entertainment was enjoyable, and the excursion recommendations from staff led to some of the best moments of the trip. Cons: The arrival experience set the wrong tone. After a long travel day and completing check-in, we were asked to sit for a 15–20 minute conversation to schedule a membership sales presentation the next morning. It was framed as an orientation on resort amenities, which felt misleading. After hours of travel, we just wanted to get to our room. The first room had a strong chemical smell. We seemed to be the only ones acknowledging it and were offered air freshener and then an air purifier before ultimately being moved to another room within about 30 minutes. The second room still had an intermittent sewage smell coming from the bathroom when the AC wasn’t running heavily. In-room amenities were limited, and the room service food was unfortunately very poor. Food and cocktails across the resort were generally mediocre. The pools were also underwhelming—especially the Diamond Club pool, which is quite small. Because the property is built vertically, elevators are required to get around. Unfortunately, they were extremely slow and small, creating frequent bottlenecks throughout the day. Overall, the staff were kind and helpful when issues were raised, but several operational details kept the experience from feeling polished."

"We had a "partial ocean view" which was mostly obstructed. They did offer to let us move, but we were already settled in for our 10 day stay, and happy with the room (other than the lack of a view). Check in was smooth, and they held our luggage until our room was ready at 3pm. On our first day, we met Ramiro, who was serving drinks poolside, and he took care of us our entire stay! The drinks were good, and plentiful. Melchor really stood out as a waiter in the Mexican restaurant. The food was nothing short of AMAZING. The buffet was "ok," but the sit down restaurants were SO GOOD! And, the best part? No reservations required. Sometimes we had to wait a little, but nothing unreasonable. There were enough loungers between the pool(s) and the beach, and we rented a cabana one day with Fernando. He was a great guy who always checked on us to see if we needed anything. I had a massage from Lulu, and highly recommend. My only "complaint" was that there were too many young children in the regular pool. I kept wondering why they weren't on the other side where there were slides, etc. We got splashed several different times. Just what I want-chlorine in my drink. I realize it's a family friendly place, but it would be better if the one pool was "adults only." I would most definitely go back to this resort. I have done all-inclusive more than 20 times, and the food at the Sunscape was hands down, THE BEST."

"The whole property was beautiful except the room that we stayed at ,the owner is using expedia to get customers.And not taking care of the apartment properly. A lot of stuff broken in the rooms and not cared for."

"I got a family suite with terrance and lagoon view but our suite was on the way bottom and had no view just trees. During check in we waited outside the room for an hour having to walk back and forth for help because our keys did not work.The rooms were dated and staff were not very friendly. The food was terrible and the same thing was served every morning. Needless to say i paid more money to stay at the resort and it was awful andI will not be returning."

"The pool and beach view were amazing! Pool bar very slow and only had indoor breakfast but all was still good. Staff friendly and fun activites."
