"Rented for a family reunion / milestone event and it was perfect for the occasion. Expansive house / property layout ideal for balancing gathering time and privacy time (with four different natural gathering points between dining room, living room, front porch, and poolside). Well-appointed near-industrial-level kitchen can keep up with all the hungry guests. Host was very responsive, as in "within minutes" responsive to questions / requests via text, and genuinely engaged and enthused to have the house serve as the setting for our successful celebration. Rating it 5 stars only because a 6th star was not available. : ) Mahalo!"

"Our stay here was everything and more. We chose it as the final stop on our Maui trip, and it was the perfect way to end—so much so that we’ll absolutely be returning. The space is incredibly tranquil. We found ourselves staying on the property more than going out, simply because it was so peaceful and inviting. My wife especially loved the bird watching—the couch placement was perfect for her to relax and take it all in for hours. The gardens are lush and beautifully maintained, and we really appreciated that some of the plants were marked. It added a thoughtful, personal touch to the experience. I could go on and on, but the reviews truly speak for themselves. This place alone would be reason enough to come back. "

"The house was clean, well-equipped, comfortable and well-located. The property has a truly "rural" feel (goats in the neighbor's yard), but is well-located--- close to Makawao town and reasonable close to the airport. We would stay her again (and again). "

"We had the best experience staying at Tammi and Mika‘s place. They are the most warm and welcoming hosts! All amenities are there as described plus more. Great location 15 minutes by car from the airport in a green lush area with amazing views! I highly recommend the place. You’re not going to be disappointed! We just left and we miss Mika and Tammi already!"

"The views are unmatched and the property is unique and gorgeous. It was very peaceful and quiet with the only sounds to be heard being all the birds. The hot tub was large and great temp and the sauna was very nice. The pool was cold. The hosts were great providing information about the area and very responsive to communication. Note in the description that the pool, hot tub and sauna are shared with a few other guests at the property so you have to book times on a shared calendar. It was not an issue for us while we were there. We were very happy with our stay, my parents and kid were in awe of the experience and it was a great change from the experience of west Maui."

"We had a wonderful stay at The Pole House. John was an incredibly attentive host who went above and beyond, even bringing us fresh produce from the upcountry farmers market on the day we arrived. He also provided great local recommendations that really enhanced our trip.The views are absolutely spectacular, and the property itself is peaceful and tranquil—perfect for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved the open-air design, which made the experience feel refreshing and unique. Just be aware that, as part of the natural setting, you may spot the occasional gecko.We highly recommend The Pole House and would gladly stay again!"
