"Everything about the property is as described. Very peaceful and remote. The view of the land and ocean was a sight to see. Jobe greeted us at the time of our arrival. "Maddie and Jimmy could not have been friendlier or more thoughtful hosts. They welcomed us to their beautiful home with a bounty of food and treats, including fresh eggs from their flock of hens. They were also readily available for anything we might need.The location was perfect for our trip to an Upcountry family funeral, but Kula is also a great location for visiting Haleakala, Makawao, and the other local attractions. We spent most of our days at our relativeʻs house, but one morning everything lined up and we were able to sit on the lanai and enjoy a breakfast of bread and tropical fruit, eggs and coffee, all courtesy of our hosts. I wish weʻd had more time to walk the grounds planted with oranges, banana, ginger, ti plants, and travelers palms, among others.The split king mattress and other beds were all very comfortable, but the shower merits particular mention: 6 different heads in various configurations with adjustable temperature and pressure means that you can get your perfect wash every day. Iʻd never been in a shower like it, and it was a revelation, especially after some of the hot, muggy Maui days.Thanks, Maddie and Jimmy, for your incredible hospitality!"
