"We loved the three resident cats on the property and the whispering pine trees with hammocks. A very serene and peaceful place with nice breakfast buffet and real chill vibes. Cool wildlife too - geckos, anoles, toads, snails, and birds. Overall a lovely place. Best of all ... The staff was nice, helpful, and just all around great folks."

"Absolutely beautiful place. Plenty of space for everyone in our party. Beautiful old Hawaii charm. Roomy kitchen with plenty of room for multiple people to cook and well stocked. Pool is outstanding with a gorgeous view. Nearby Makawao really cute and charming town. Good driving distance for both Haleakala and Road to Hana. We all really loved our stay here!"

"This was our second visit to Maui, so we wanted to try something different; we chose something upcountry instead of on the beach this time. We will likely go back to the beach for future visits, because we really didn’t enjoy having to drive all the way back and change after spending time on the beach. That said, the property was not a bad choice. Our stay was pleasant, with the exception of a random leak that happened in the unit’s restroom. Also, the patio could have been a little cleaner. We might have used it if it had been. Other than that, this is a good spot if you’re not concerned with the mid day runs back to the place to clean up before dinner or whatever else you’re doing. It is a great proximity to some good shopping and great restaurants in Pā’ia!"

"Host was very responsive and attentive to our requests. A/C unit worked well & the place was clean and very spacious, even for 5 ppl. We stayed here two days to explore Haleakala sunrise and the road to Hana. Location, which is the beginning of upcountry, was perfect.Things to note: We knew the fridge was only a mini fridge, but that was just too small for 5 of us to store food."

"Loved the house! It has ample room and great views. Roosters will wake you early but watching the farm animals was a hit. Beautiful spot to eat on balcony in the island breeze. Came with a surprise stash of beach gear and toys. Close to many great attractions like Haleakalā and Hana and Paia town."
