"Very nice property. The home is very clean and rather spacious. Very close to nearby public transport which makes it very easy to get around. Location is rather walkable as well to other restaurants and coffee shops. Enjoyable more immersive experience to the neighborhood. There's a great little coffee house literally seconds away. Lovely amenities in the home. Personally loved the shower and large bathtub. The beds were good, but were very loud and creeky even with subtle movements. Since there...

Top Hiryu Falls Hotel Reviews

Hakone Kowakien TEN-YU

10/10 Excellent

"The location is beautiful. Our room had a private thermal bath. Spacious and clean. Restaurant was very good for both breakfast and dinner. Would definitely come again"

Hakone Kowakien Mikawaya Ryokan

"Really great friendly staff and beautiful property"

RakutenSTAY FUJIMITERRACE HakoneAshinoko

10/10 Excellent

"Overall, we had a great stay at Rakuten Stay Fuji View Hakone, and would definitely recommend it.” The heated floors, tatami room, comfy bed, well-equipped kitchen, and projector for movies and music made the space feel cozy and thoughtful. The indoor and outdoor hot spring baths were a real highlight. The location is super convenient, close to the bus station, restaurants, and shops, which made everything easy. Check-in was smooth, and the instructions were clear enough that we didn’t need to contact the host. A couple of small things could be improved, though. We did notice some dog hair left behind, so a bit more attention to cleaning would make a big difference. We were also excited about the Mount Fuji view, but the trees blocked most of it from our floor. It would be helpful if the listing set clearer expectations about that. Even so, the stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and next time we come back to Japan, we’d love to stay longer and hopefully enjoy a better view."

8/10 Good

"Lovely ryoken in Hakone. Very traditional theme but all mod cons. The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars was due to the food options. The evening meal was beautifully presented and lovely ingredients however my wife has a shellfish allergy which we advised before arrival and were informed the allergy free menu would be fine. However our first evening meal and breakfast the next day both included shellfish which we had to bring to the staff’s attention. Once we did the staff were very accommodating but it really shouldn’t have happened in the first place. All in all we didn’t let it spoil the experience. Our room had the external onsen and balcony which was fabulous and, apart from the food issue, we really enjoyed our stay."

The Fujiya Hotel

8/10 Good

"This is a beautiful historic hotel and I recommend staying here. My only complaint would be the Spa. The treatment itself was lovely and relaxing but the spa itself lacked style, coziness and the treatment room itself was sterile."

Hakone Kowakien

8/10 Good

"Exceptional place to stay in Hakone, Highly recommended, a lot of things to do for kids including the indoor water park - only giving 4 out of 5 stars due to early check out times, we requested for 10-15 mins extra but was told we have to pay, Apart from that an excellent place, will stay again here"

Hatsuhana

10/10 Excellent

"Absolutely beautiful! Serene, peaceful, a memorable retreat."

Bar Hotel Hakone Kazan

10/10 Excellent

"One of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. So personalized and thoughtful."

Hakone Yunohana Prince Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Nice setting (and surrounding area within Hakone) and we enjoyed the serenity of this property. This property is a bit aged, so air conditioning is absent in room. Weather was good during our stay (not super humid hot) so we had no issue. Having said that, I would imagine we would definite appreciate the traditional style of heating when visiting during winter with its snowy view over the golf course."
