"This was a great location to enjoy the Hakone region. The rooms have a beautiful view of the tree covered hills (really wonderful with the fall colors). The food was really good and all the various hot spring options were fun. Need to go more than one day to see it all. Definitely worth the trip."

"The room was spectacular! And the setting was so serene (the lobby, restaurant, and onsen were all immaculate). The dining experiences (both breakfast and dinner) were also very special - definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience with many new foods to try and impeccable service. My only (small) notes: there is no fitness center and no nearby running/walking/hiking (the property is located off a busy highway with no sidewalks), so if you are an active person, be prepared to do a lot of sitting around! We asked for trail recommendations but were told they didn't exist. We also found that the hotel staff, while very accommodating, were NOT knowledgeable about nearby activities, dining, etc. We really had to fend for ourselves in that regard. Perhaps it was the language barrier, but seemingly simple requests (like laundry service, or calling a taxi), they were not able to help us with. Also, note that the dining is private in individual dining rooms, but it is not IN your hotel room, if that's what you're looking for. All in all, I'd say this is an amazing retreat for 1 or 2 nights if you really just want to unplug and lay around in a beautiful space! "

"It was incredible. We were greeted warmly by staff, some of whom spoke fluent English, and everything was spotless. The baths were super clean and beautiful. It was such a treat to be able to reserve them for private bath time. The public ones were awesome too. It was fun exploring the different rooms throughout the ryokan. They put a lot of care into the meals and personally bring every course to your room. I think this one is perfect fore couples because of the private baths . It was the perfect relaxing time.
