Our stay at Hakone Yutowa was great. The room (Condominium A) was very spacious and had a good amount of natural light. The amenities we plenty, both in the rooms and within the hotel as well. There was lots of space to relax and enjoy the atmosphere around the property too. The complimentary snacks and drinks in the afternoons were well received, and breakfast had a fair variety of options. I would absolutely love to come and stay again.

Obsessed with this hotel. This was a dream place to stay with beautiful mountain views. Little hard for dinner options to recommend paying for dinner at the hotel. The carpet in the east wing stairs was disgusting and absolutely stunk - needs to be upgraded.

This hotel was perfect to visit Hakone. Its located a 5 minute walk from Gora station and lots of buses stop right outside. The room was spacious and very well presented. A very comfortable stay.

At the end of a two-week trip to Japan, Hakone Yutowa was a true highlight. We booked one of the condominium suites, which was large even by American hotel standards. The room had its own mineral hot spring bath that faced east and captured a gorgeous sunrise, as well as a spacious sitting room and comfortable beds. The hotel staff were gracious and accommodating, allowing us to leave our bags with them for a few hours after we had checked out. The meals were good, served buffet style; we ate both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Yukata are provided for guests to wear at meals and around the hotel grounds. The public bath was also fantastic. In the men’s bath, there were two pools, one slightly cooler than the other, as well as a sauna. Although we were not traveling with children, it’s clear that they welcome families here. There are little nooks scattered throughout the property where you will find comic books, toys, places to read and relax, and complimentary snacks and beverages. All in all, it was a really relaxing place to stay. We used the Hakone Free Pass to see the sights, and we definitely recommend the Open-Air Museum, which is one of a kind and features an incredible collection of sculptures by artists from all over the world.

There are so many areas within the complex that you can sit back and relax. Little nooks, hammocks, the foot bath and fire pit area.

Very convenient location, about 5min walk from Gora Station and there is a bus stop just right outside the entrance (where we took a straight bus to Gotemba Premium Outlets). Hotel lounge was cozy, with lots of seating options, food and drink areas, and even books/manga available for reading. Our room (Twin Room 30m2) was huge and the bed was really comfy. As for the toilet, we didn't even use it as we just showered at the public bath! The outdoor area which had a campfire and a foot bath was also lovely. We also got halfboard which was buffet-style but while the food options were quite exciting the quality was just decent and we weren't too impressed by it. However, for S$313 a night, would have expected more. Free flow alcohol is quite a draw though.
